A lovely letter received!

26th February 2016

We have received a congratulatory letter from Sue Clarke, Head of Education and Learning, which I would like to share with you below:

‘It gives me great pleasure to write to you and congratulate your school on improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. The reason you have been selected is that you are one of the most improved schools in Devon in terms of narrowing the attainment gap of your disadvantaged pupils, compared to other pupils nationally in the last year’s end of Key Stage 2 assessments. It is clear that you and your staff have provided your disadvantaged pupils with a good start in life and prepared them well for secondary school. I would like to congratulate your staff, governors, parents and pupils for their hard work and success, and thank you for your leadership in making such a difference to the future success of your pupils. Finally, I would also encourage you to share you achievements with other schools so that they can learn from your strengths and experience.’

Sue Clarke, Head of Education and Learning for Devon
