A poem from one of our children...

26th February 2016

Our children have been really inspired by the World War 2 topic and some fantastic poetry has been written, some of which I have shared with you in previous newsletters. Here is one more, written by Alfie Brown:

Planes swooshing in the sky

Bombs exploding from up high

Fire crackling

Children crying

People dying

Sirens ringing flashing red

Houses crumbling

Glass smashing

Soldiers rushing to fight

Mothers hushing

Families cuddling

These are the sounds of the war.’
