Exe Valley Challenge

11th May 2018

Are you a good walker? Are you up for a real challenge? Would you like to represent Countess Wear in a local competition? CWCS is entering the Exe Valley Challenge on Sunday 1st July. This is to be held at ISCA High School, and we are looking for team of members.  Training sessions start on Monday 4th June from 3.30- 4.45pm, and continue every Monday for 4 weeks. Children walk in teams of 4 to complete a 7 or a 10 mile course. Children from CWCS entered last year and put in an amazing performance. If you  can already easily walk from CWCS to Exeter Quay, and are available for training sessions and the event itself on 1st July, then please let Alice know in the office as soon as possible. Depending on the number of interested children and how everyone manages the training sessions, we will select teams nearer the time. There will also be a small entrance fee (under £5) which can be paid closer to the event. As well as giving our children the chance to test their stamina against other schools, the event is a charity fundraiser for Children's Hospice South West and sponsorship forms are distributed by ISCA  to children getting into the CWCS teams. A donation to the charity is welcomed but is not essential.  More information about the whole event can be found on the ISCA website www.iscaexeter.co.uk. Thank you, Ms. McShane Mrs. Burnard.
