Kind Words

5th January 2018

As well as starting the New Year with a focus on positive mental health, we are focusing on using kind words to one another. I spoke to all the children in assembly this week about using kind words to ensure that children feel good about themselves. We will not be tolerating any unkind words (linked to a child’s appearance, for example) and children will be sent immediately to a member of the leadership team if this occurs. We want children to understand the power of words (both kind and unkind) and the huge effect that it can have on another child’s wellbeing. Please encourage your child to speak kindly at home, including to their siblings! We would be really grateful to all families for noticing and praising children when you hear them speaking kindly and showing consideration towards others. Thank you all for your support with this.
