Looking after our Mental Health

5th January 2018

At CWCS we focus a great deal on health and wellbeing – both our physical and mental health is important and needs to be nurtured and supported. Physical and mental health goes hand in hand and through our lives we have times when our physical and / or mental health is strong and at other times, it is not so strong.

Mental health is defined as: a state of well-being in which an individual realizes one’s own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community. This is what we want for all members of the Countess Wear School Community. On the back of today’s newsletter, you will see ’10 a day’ – choices towards maintaining our positive mental health. Please discuss these with your children – perhaps one of these could become a ‘New Year’s Resolution’. Thank you.
