Dear Parents and carers

It was lovely to see all the children in their World Book Day costumes this morning! Many parents spoke to me to say how grateful they were that we had opened the school as normal.

However, the MET Office have just changed their Amber warning for Exeter to a Red warning, from 3pm (at the time of writing). It is my priority to have all staff, children and families safe at home by this time. I am therefore requesting that all children are picked up by 1pm (or sooner, if you feel that this is safer for you and your family). Children who are staying until 1pm will be given lunch.

Looking at the MET Office advice for tomorrow, we do not feel that it would be safe to have the school open. I apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

With very best wishes to you all.
