Our curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that every child will 'be everything they can be'.

We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, rooted in the national curriculum, that is progressive and topic or themed based, using real life experiences to inspire and motivate children.

We promote active learners, who use and apply their knowledge and understanding across the curriculum, both inside and outside the classroom.  Learners experience daily opportunities to recall, practice and apply a range of learning across the curriculum.  Alongside this, children are encouraged to develop effective learning behaviours, which include being considerate, curious, courageous, reflective, resilient and resourceful.  These are supported by our school reward systems that develop and promote both social and emotional development alongside academic excellence.

Our curriculum offer draws on internal and external specialists that enrich the experiences for all learners.  Staff provide bespoke, targeted teaching for individuals and vulnerable groups which ensures progress and strong outcomes for all pupils.

We see our learners as citizens of the future and at the heart of our community.

We have an intent, implementation and impact statement for each curriculum area.  Please click on the subject buttons to find out more!

If you have any questions about the curriculum please speak to your child's teacher, the Head of KS1 Holly Veal, or the Head of KS2 Craig Veal.
